Mask project

This project, developed throughout 2022, starts from a work created at the end of 2021 and which I fell in love with

particularly.

On a red background I had painted a soft body of a woman with dripping breasts, a tribal mask with an intense expression and a snake greedily drinking the generously flowing milk.

​

  In the new year that has just begun (2022) I realized that I was still inside that painting and that I was still experiencing it intensely, so I decided to reproduce the mask on a very small canvas, which gave me satisfaction but above all led me to the creation of six other small masks .

​

Masks that were actually projections of moods and moments experienced.

Aware of this, I decided to delve deeper and continue the journey by starting a project which involved, in an emotional involvement oscillating between suffering and wonder, the creation of a further work for each painted mask.
